- Aroha Waaka -Owner of Black Cat/Beach Shak Cafe. For three years the Cafe displayed the historical photos, talks and memorabilia from Karen’s collection.
- Linda Smith Penangke – local indigenous artist who has supported Karen through artworks based on Beachmere’s Collective Memory.
